AI Website Design Built to Convert, Not Just toLook Modern

We use AI to draft complete page systems in days instead of weeks, then a designer shapes hierarchy, messaging and conversion paths around what your buyers actually need to see. Search and AI-answer structure is planned from the first wireframe, not retrofitted after launch.

WEB DESIGN
Quick answer

What is AI website design?

AI website design is the use of generative AI tools to produce website layouts, page structures, copy drafts and responsive variants at speed, directed and refined by human designers who set the information hierarchy, conversion strategy and brand expression. For businesses this typically means a complete multi-page marketing site designed in days rather than the six to ten weeks a traditional studio requires.

Service perspective

The problem this work is designed to solve.

A website has one job: help the right visitor understand what you do and take the next step. Most redesigns fail at that not because the design is ugly, but because nobody decided what the page had to prove before opening the design tool. We decide that first, then let AI do the drawing.

The thinking behind the work

Different questions deserve different answers.

We shape the work around the audience, the constraint and the outcome — not a reusable agency formula.

01Audience

Who This Is For

  • Australian businesses whose site no longer reflects what they do
  • Teams that need a credible website in weeks rather than a quarter
  • Companies launching a new offer, brand or market position
  • Businesses losing enquiries to competitors who simply look more trustworthy
02Problem

Challenges We Solve

  • Visitors cannot tell what you do within the first five seconds
  • The mobile experience is a shrunk desktop layout
  • Nothing on the page addresses the objection that actually stops buyers
  • Content cannot be updated without booking developer time
03Approach

Our Approach

Commercial discovery, then messaging, then structure, then AI generation, then human refinement. The design serves an argument that was decided first.

04Context

Why It Matters

Your website is usually the first and cheapest sales conversation you will ever have. If it does not answer the real question, the enquiry goes elsewhere.

05Process

Typical Timeline

  • Day 1 to 3: discovery, content strategy and first design drafts
  • Week 2: refined design across all templates
  • Week 2 to 3: build, CMS integration and QA
  • Week 3 to 4: launch, redirects, analytics and handover

Our process

How we deliver AI website design.

Step 1

Commercial Discovery

What does the site need to achieve, who is the buyer, what do they need to believe before enquiring, and what currently stops them? Every design decision that follows traces back to this document.

Step 2

Content and Structure First

Sitemap, page purposes and messaging hierarchy are agreed before any visual work. AI drafts the content structure; we edit it against your real proposition rather than a generic template.

Step 3

Rapid Design Exploration

Using v0 by Vercel and Lovable we produce several genuinely different visual directions within three days. You compare real options rather than accepting the one there was time to build.

Step 4

Designer Refinement

A designer sets typography, spacing rhythm, imagery direction and motion. This is where a generated layout becomes a brand rather than a good-looking template.

Step 5

Search and Answer Structure

Heading hierarchy, internal linking, schema and passage structure are set during design so the page is legible to Google and extractable by AI assistants at launch, not after a later SEO project.

Step 6

Build, QA and Handover

Approved designs move into development with the same team, then through performance, accessibility and cross-device QA before launch. Accounts, code and documentation are handed over.

Editorial

Why most AI-designed websites still fail

You can generate a beautiful website in an afternoon. Most of them do not work, and the reasons are consistent.

The first is that generated sites answer no specific question. A prompt produces a hero, three feature cards, a testimonial row and a call to action, because that is the shape of every marketing site in the training data. It is a plausible website for nobody in particular. Your buyer has one or two specific doubts — price, timeline, whether you have done this before in their industry — and a generic layout never addresses them.

The second is structural. AI-generated markup is frequently a stack of divs with heading levels chosen for size rather than meaning, which reads poorly to search engines and badly to screen readers. It looks identical in a browser and performs measurably worse.

The third is that nobody planned the content. Design generated before the messaging is decided produces boxes that then have to be filled, and the copy gets bent to fit the layout instead of the layout serving the argument.

Our order of work is the opposite: commercial discovery, then messaging, then structure, then generation, then human refinement. AI still does most of the drawing, which is why this takes weeks and not months. But it draws something that was decided first.

Capabilities

Areas we cover.

Lovable — full page system generation

Generates complete, working page systems from a prompt including layout, components and responsive behaviour. We use it for first-pass exploration when a site needs several template types quickly.

v0 by Vercel — production-shaped UI

Produces React and Next.js components that are genuinely close to buildable, which removes the usual translation loss between a design file and the final front-end.

Bolt.new — instant working prototypes

Stands up a clickable version of the whole site in one pass, so stakeholders review a real website in a browser instead of static images.

Claude Code — content structure and metadata

Drafts heading hierarchies, schema markup and metadata against the agreed content strategy, then keeps them consistent as pages are added.

Cursor AI — front-end refinement

Used to tighten generated markup — semantics, accessibility attributes, performance — so what ships is not simply what was generated.

Human conversion review

A person checks every template against the buyer journey: does the page answer the objection at the point it arises, and is the next step obvious without scrolling back?

FAQ

Questions we get asked

AI website design uses generative AI tools to produce website layouts, page structures and responsive variants quickly, with human designers setting the content strategy, conversion paths and brand expression. The practical result is a complete site designed in days rather than the six to ten weeks a traditional studio needs.

It depends entirely on whether a designer directed it. A site generated from a prompt and shipped unreviewed is usually worse — generic structure, poor heading semantics, no consideration of your buyer. A site where AI produced the layouts and a designer set the strategy and refined the output is not worse; it is the same quality delivered faster and cheaper.

First design draft within three days of the discovery call. A five to eight page business website is typically two to four weeks from start to launch when content is available. The usual delay is not design — it is waiting on copy, photography and approvals from your side, and we tell you upfront exactly what we need and when.

Yes, and it is planned during design rather than added afterwards. That means semantic heading hierarchy, crawlable structure, internal linking, metadata, structured data and Core Web Vitals performance targets set before build begins. Retrofitting SEO onto a finished design is always more expensive and less effective.

AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) structures your content so AI assistants can extract a clean, quotable answer. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) makes your brand more likely to be named in generated responses. Both depend on page structure — clear definitions, self-contained passages, consistent entity naming — which is a design and content decision, not a plugin.

Yes. We integrate a CMS so your team can edit content, add pages and update images without a developer. Handover includes documentation and a walkthrough, and ongoing support is optional rather than a condition of keeping the site running.

We draft it and you refine it, or you supply it and we structure it — both work. What we will not do is fill a layout with placeholder-quality text and call it done. Copy is the argument the page makes; the design is how that argument is presented.

It is designed mobile-first, because for most Australian businesses more than half of traffic is mobile. We verify at 375, 768, 1024, 1440 and 1920 pixels rather than assuming a responsive framework handled it.

If your current site has rankings, we protect them: full URL inventory, one-to-one redirect mapping, pre-launch ranking and crawl benchmarks, and a comparison against baseline for ninety days after launch. Redesigns damage rankings when URLs change without redirects or useful content is quietly dropped.

Platform follows requirements. Astro or Next.js for performance-critical marketing sites, WordPress when your team is already comfortable editing there, Shopify for ecommerce. We recommend based on who maintains it and what it needs to do, not on what we prefer to build.

A single landing page starts from $3,500 AUD. A five to eight page business website with CMS and SEO structure starts from $9,000 AUD. Larger multi-template sites start from $18,000 AUD. Every project is fixed-price once scope is agreed, with exclusions written down.

Completely, from day one. Domain, hosting, repository, analytics and CMS are all in your name, with credentials handed over at launch. There is no proprietary platform lock-in and no requirement to stay on a retainer to keep the site working.
